Hey everyone, I'm sharing this video in my press release to raise awareness of TIA's and stroke. Did you know that you can have a TiA, which is like having a mini stroke,without even knowing that it has happened. You may be wondering what a TIA is because a lot of people simply don't know. A TIA is a transient ischaemic attack and is also known as a mini stroke. This is because the symptoms are the same as having a stroke but usually last less than 24 hours. Even though the symptoms of a TIA only last 24 hours or less, it is very serious and should not be ignored. A TIA is a warning to let you know that there is something wrong and you are at risk of having a stroke. This is why many people call a TIA a warning stroke. So you may be wondering what happens when you have a TIA and what causes it. A TIA is simply a blockage which cuts off the blood supply to part of your brain. When you have a TIA the blockage is usually temporary and your blood supply will return to normal when the blockage dissolves or moves. Any symptoms that you experienced will also disappear once the blockage is no longer there. So the important thing to remember here is that the only difference between a TIA and a stroke is that the blockage that happens when you have a TIA is temporary. One of the things that can cause the blockage is a blood clot, it can however be caused by an air bubble in your blood stream.
